NGC6946 and NGC 6939

Even with a focal length of 1000mm this image ended up looking like a wide-field but that suits me just fine! The image shows the spiral galaxy NGC6946 and the 'nearby' open cluster NGC6939. I took 21 subs of 300 seconds each using my SXVF-M25C and Skywatcher 200mm Newtonian Reflector.

They look so perfectly paired in Steve's image but I just googled and found out that NGC 6939 is 4,000ly from our solar system, whilst NGC 6946 is 10MILLIONly away!

my brain just fell out.

edit: getting conflicting 'ly' distances in other google searches but I think we can safely say the distance is brain meltingly large!
