I just purchased one the Kendick Astro Tents from Altair Astro. Only a few remaining and the price is now £550 + P&P. Given the size and the ability to roll off the roof (plus it is gen 3 - stronger construction for the more inclement European weather), I thought it was worth it. Plus I remember seeing an ad in Sky & Telescope about 10 years ago and thinking I want one. Eventually those feelings always catch up with me!

you can go to go outdoors and buy a tent for about 70 quid and sow a couple of zips in the inner bit and pull it back when you want do some observing

Best tent is LeeB's. He puts it up, puts everything you need in it. It's good just to sit there having a long drink and offering to help.
