Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I’ve been given these eyepieces and was hoping some of you would advise me as to whether they are any good?

ot should I donate them to the W. I. Jumble.

They are older versions of the Televue Plossl and Nagler, but should still be excellent eyepieces. Do hold onto them!

Phew!
thanks everyone. I really appreciate the advice.
I’ll use them asap, when the wind/ice/rain stops!

Older coatings, but still excellent lens polish.  I've read about many folks raving about the 7mm NT1 for planetary observing.  Both will have short eye relief.  Try them out and report back here on your impressions of them.

I'm sure there aren't any eyepieces with the name Televue stamped on them which are disposable, they may be older but at one time they were top of the line, I bet.

They're both good eyepieces, and keepers unless you need to wear glasses to observe, or don't like short eye relief.

The pair would I think be worth between c£100 and £150 on the used market👍.

It is not in our power to receive such gifts, but it is in our power to GIVE such gifts! 😇

If anyone wants to practice their gift-giving, just pm me 🤣

My daughter is the main recipient of my gift giving.  However, they're given with the understanding that if she doesn't want to use them anymore, they come back to me since many of the items are impossible to find nowadays.
