Rosette Nebula

Rosette Nebula taken in February over several nights around the full moon from a Bortle 8 area with light pollution,  so I'm really surprised how it turned out.

Ha / Oiii (300s) = 4.2hr / 2.9hr

R / G / B (60s) = 3.9hr / 3.3hr /3.3hr

The first image is NB + RGB (Ha added to red data and Oii added to blue and green)

The 2nd and 3rd are HOO, the 2nd one (I think has 20% Ha in the green channel

Lovely, this is a really obscure object visually. Love the dark patches of nubulosity and globs. As you say considering LP a great image.

That has come out very nicely Adam.  Lovely images, I really like the first one - shows how worthwhile the total integration was (as is always the case!)

Thanks! Yes the integration time was definitely worth it, I'm just glad I had a good spell of clear nights!

Another version in NB enhanced RGB, with a bit of Ha added as luminance

Really really really like that well done...I really must resist the urge to buy a dedicated camera!!

All fantastic renditions, really nice work. I always prefer the natural looking palettes so first one for me. What was the kit? (Sorry can't see your sig if it's in there!)
