Screen sharing software

Hey yall!  So I'm looking for a screensharing software so I can sit inside my cozy warm hut and monitor/adjust my imaging laptop. 

 

I've looked at a few so far, but they all require an internet connection but unfortunately I don't have that where I'm at.  But I can set up a router and use a LAN connection if theres any software that allows that

I know some users have had “issues” with Teamviewer.

I’ve used Teamviewer to link between my observatory laptop and my home office laptop for the past few years. I use a Cat5/6 cable about 25mtr long.

No internet connection involved.

Seems to work well for me.

Wait really?  I thought teamviewer required an internet connection.I couldnt make teamviewer work over wireless LAN at least.  And unfortunately I'm not able to connect a kable all the way from inside.

I use Microsoft Remote Desktop (MRD) to connect my Windows Laptop which is outside with my scope to my iMac indoors.

It works over my home WiFi network with no issues. However, the laptop I connect to does require Windows 10 Pro edition for MRD to work. For the iMac it’s just a case of downloading MRD for Mac from the Apple Mac store.

I use Teamviewer and Anydesk. I prefer TV but there have been some issues.

Anydesk and windows Remote Desktop as said that requires win10pro which you can buy from resellers for £10  works very well  I’d go for latter one tbh .

We use UltraVNC at work, no internet required and it allows file transfer.

I occasionally use Windows Remote Desktop Connection with Mains Network Adapters, no need for a Wireless connection.
