The Great Conjunction on Facebook!

Was chatting with my BIL about the conjunction. He lives in Connecticut and wasn't able to see anything with his binos.

Posted a link to this, someone else posted it.

Their comment was a friend took it with a professional telescope.

What do you think?

I'm thinking it's a photoshopped image, but what do I know?

At a glance I would say that the planets are too close, the scale and position of Jupiter's moons (all three of them) is wrong and that either Jupiter or Saturn is upside down.

If you really have to PhotoShop an image at least make sure you get the details right, do a little research first, otherwise you will end up with a joke image such as this.

There have been some absolute corkers doing the rounds.
I can only assume that some sub-editor told an intern to find a simulation of what it was going to look like, didn't think it was spectacular enough, and turned to Photoshop:

Had another post on the local FB group for the rural area I live in post an image taken with their phone. 

Was perfectly fine, till they commented that they managed to get the Great Conjunction with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto!

I had a hard time making out Pluto in the image, but if you believe, then its okay!

That Christmas Star was supposed to be half the size of the full Moon.

I didn't notice Jupiter looking any brighter naked eye at greatest conjuction.  It just drowned out Saturn making it more difficult to spot naked eye.
