IC1396 - Elephants Trunk Nebula

The Elephant's Trunk Nebula (IC 1396) from last night - 3 hours Ha 2 hours Sii and 2 hours Oiii all in 600 second subs. Takahashi 106 EDXIIII, Atik 460 EX mono camera, Baader 2" narrowband filters in Atik EFW3, guided with Evostar 50 and Atik GP using PHD2 mounted on an Avalon Linear Fast Reverse. Fully calibrated with Darks, Flats and Bias and processed in Pixinsight using the SHO Hubble pallet.

I have been attempting the Trunk for some time now. Never come anywhere close to as good as this.

Look at those inky black clouds ( bottom right ).     Excellent detail.
