Cosmic Geoff
I have continued to image Mars as it moves away. It is getting smaller, but on the other hand I don't have to get up in the middle of the night, the dust storm has subsided, and it is gaining significantly in altitude. Here is a series of images taken in September and early October, all taken with a C8 SE, ASI120MC, +ADC, processed in Registax 6. The seeing was often poor, but seemed better on Oct 3. Davey-T
Nicely done Geoff, I took a few snaps of the dust storm through the trees earlier and gave up on it for this year. Dave
MarsG76
Some features are punching through... as we're moving away from Mars, it'll get harder to capture fine detail.
Stu
Nice ones Geoff, it does look like the contrast is improving as the dust settles. Hope to have a look at it over the weekend, providing we are not submerged.......

orion25
Good job, Geoff. A pity the storm stole Mars' thunder this summer (for us in the Northern Hemisphere). Reggie
