bingevader
Had this one today in a lesson for More Able and Talented children, thought I'd pass it on: RIDDLE - The Great Wall of China An American, who had never been to any country other than the United States, travelled a long way to see a sight that very few people had seen. He was standing one day on solid ground when he saw the Great Wall of China with his own eyes. How come? Anyone who can work out a plausible answer rather than the false one give today, gets a Tufty Badge! Having realised the answer was rubbish, our MAT children started coming up with all kinds of possibilities including teleportation, wormholes and unicorns! tooth_dr
“An American, who had never been to any country other than the United States, travelled a long way to see a sight” To me it says he had never been anywhere but the states (implying in the past he didn’t travel) so that means this was his first trip away, to China. Imo, if the Great Wall is a takeaway, he'd have gone there more than just the one time! John
