A BEAUTIFUL EYEPIECE CASE!

I've been looking for some time for a nice wooden eyepiece case, and 2 weeks ago i spoke to Don, the owner of Vernonscope in the USA,they are famous for their brandon eyepieces.

He said he had just one of a special walnut case, in his own words "you're gonna love it!"

so i said ok i'll take it.

anyhow, i got in this evening and a box was waiting in the porch.

I unwrapped it and oh my, it is gorgeous!

handmade solid walnut with tenoned joints.

here are a couple of photos, it has a crushed velvet interior.

You'll have to go out and buy some 'sexy' eyepieces worthy of a box like that! Very nice indeed.

Although it is lovely, it will be a "working" case, but i'll treat it with care!

the zeiss abbes already in it are pretty sexy

soon to be joined by either a clave 35mm or a masuyama 35mm (which is super sexy!

I wouldn't mind being a millionaire! but it may surprise you to know what this case cost.

it was about £79 plus £18 shipping.

arrived without any duties.

Vernonscope do a lovely wooden case with 5 diecut openings for $85USD and another with an extra cutout for a barlow for $105USD plus shipping.

they take credit card payment.

i think these are great prices for a very nice case

Could you give us a close up of the joinery? It looks a lovely piece of wood. Mine's n aluminium box from Celestron. Not nearly as pretty.

That's gorgeous and a bargain! I'm after something similar for my pen collection. I don't seem to be able to get a decent case in the UK. I think I'm going to have to do an import.
