Sol WL 05-09-17 full disk

It finally cleared enough to do a full disk after 4pm, although there was still thin hazy stuff.

50 frames at 1/2500, ISO 100, Pipp>AS!2>IMPPG>Photoshop. Plus a crop. I did do some with the Mak and a Barlow but the cloud was thicker by then and it's no good.

What is classed as the correct orientation?

Compared to my feeble follies with the 150-600, this image is inverted ie rotated 180° left when viewed juxtaposed to my image.

Same with the Moon, I never know.

I always thought the orientation you see in the image in my OP is correct - it's what NASA show on their SDO images.

As for the moon, I orient it as we would see it naked eye.

depends where you are looking from
