The Bubble Nebula - NGC 7635 - in Hubble Palette

I've had a few decent-ish nights recently, so, between 23 and 30 August, I was able to get 18 hours of narrowband on the Bubble nebula.  (I'd got the idea for this target from Steve Richards.)  I was fortunate enough to get 6 hours on each channel.  I wonder if it might be better to get 'a lot' more, especially of the SII and maybe the OIII.

Details:

  • Skywatcher Esprit 120
  • QSI 690 with Astrodon 3nm filters
  • Mesu 200
  • Ha: 18x1200"
  • OIII: 18x1200"
  • SII: 18x1200"

For a total of 18 hours

what was your color combination?  I found the blue was hard to acheive in my bubble....

Thanks for your kind words.  The combination was a straight S-H-O to R-G-B.

I think that is probably my favourite AP image out of everything I have seen so far anywhere - simply stunning!

That's extremely nice of you to say so, Mr Lightning.  You should take a look at the pictures produced by some of the other folk who have been kind enough to comment on my photo, though!
