AR 2644 really active today flares

Seems to be carrying from yesterday when it was putting on a show, trying to do a timelapse of it between the clouds  but the seeing is atrocious.

I have finally managed to get a decent spell of sunshine.... lovely detail around the spots again :happy8: The proms are still hanging on in there but they are not as dominant as yesterday.... Mind you there is a lovely arc in the 12 O'clock position atm :happy8:

Great session at last this afternoon from 5pm til 6.30pm, best by far this year. AR 2644 putting on a fine show, a prom appearing to be lifting off and more besides. The 6" high res Ha scope with binoviewers is giving the equivalent image scale of a 2.5metre disc projected on to the observatory wall so you can imagine the complexity of detail revealed. Just like the good old days with an active Sun.  :icon_bounce:

Agreed. White light is superb at last!

The flare has been really bright too.

That is a good amount of detail, I must have a look through an ed120 at some point, but not too soon as it could be costly!
