My first Orion this year !

A bit naff, but I couldn't sleep last night...

came down for a glass of water to be greeted by a beautiful clear sky so grabbed my HTC M8 and held it against the window as still as I could and took 10 x 4 second iso 800 lights and a dark.

Thought I'd try it with DSS this morning.

There's dedication to the hobby :-)

Not clear night here I can tell by the glow in the bathroom if it is sort of light then cloud is reflecting the lights that are left on all night. For a phone I'm surprised it captured that and picked up the stars.

Cheers Kat, it has a manual mode which allows up to 4 seconds exposure.

Well done, I did get up to see how the sky was looking about 3.00am and was treated to that sight.
