I finally spotted the tiniest gap in the clouds and set up ready.  Just managed to fire off about 100 frames before the clouds closed up for the day:

The cloud broke here at about 5pm, just time to get the sun before it dipped below the houses to the west.

Roger, thank you so much.  I am at the very bottom of a long learning-curve ladder.  Today we had our Lunt out for only the 2nd time and as it was the middle of the day, and breezy, seeing conditions were less than ideal   But, we were able to see 'something' and thanks to your photos I now know it was AR2581 and that great looking 'unclassified' group.
