The Solar Chromosphere (Ca-K) - 8th July

Finally found a gap today. After falling for a sucker-hole or two I managed to shoot enough data for a full disk. Then a few minutes later it cleared again and I managed to grab some proms too! Difficult conditions though, passing cloud and very windy, hence shooting at anything over native 1000mm focal length just wasn't an option.

Dave, you never cease to amaze me with those Cal-K shots.  We all had fun with that prom yesterday, but you put the lid on the pot with those two prom shots.

Thanks much for sharing your work... I always enjoy it.
