Prominences too

Morning chaps

Firstly thanks for the encouraging comments on my first Solar ha image yesterday - good to know I'm on track.

Secondly, managed to get out earlier this morning, so the quality is a bit better plus there are some super prominences visible.

The question is, can I get them without having to extend the red channel which then also extends the red rim around the sun?

Or is that just 'how it is'?

Thanks for any suggestions/advice

Nice image.  Thanks for sharing.

I can't help with the red-channel question, as I only capture in monochrome.

I will add respectfully, that the image needs a horizontal flip to correct for the cam/scope's "twist" of the light path during capture.  If you're using SharpCap, you can set the "flip" toggle to automatically do that every time.  If not, you can flip it in Photoshop easily as well.
