Unashamed bump as it's a great events and deserves to be supported.

Lots to do

Throughout the weekend the festival has something for all ages, interests and experiences.

  • Help, advice and tuition
  • Local astronomy clubs
  • Hands-on astronomy
  • Activities for all the family
  • Telescope surgery
  • Workshops
  • Presentations
  • Astronomer Q&A
  • Trade Stalls
  • Demonstrations
  • Exhibitions

Of course the event would not be complete without our now famous raffle and a night not to be missed at our Saturday Social supper.

does anyone know what trade stands are there ?

Yes, Tring Astronomy center will be there with Celestron, Altair, vixon and other selections. also John from Peak2Valley will have a stand with his lovely refractors to drool over (tissues not provided). lots of smaller stalls but chance to meet and chat to clubs and societies in the NW who have stands too. worth a day out just for the networking and only £5 to get in....although talks are separate (obviously) :-)  It is also a not-for-profit event run by a management committee of local astronomers, ALL profit goes back into the festival to help make it bigger and better, so the more people come, the better it gets.. www.nwastrofest.co.uk

Friday is student Day with  presentations from Liverpool Uni and other Uni's Astro-students. Please bear in mind that trade is only Saturday and Sunday there will be no trade Friday 1st July.
