Hi Peter Good work. Moon shadows I have found pose particular problems with colour alignment Requiring shorter runs to cope with it. How did you find the best way to cope with the prolem ? What capture times ? did you do shorter exposures combined ?  Its been a while I cant remember if that works or not, Or if its total capture time that matters most.

Thanks for the comments;

Neil, it is the total time integrated into the image that counts, ie a 4 min single or 4 x 1 min would result in the same blurring.

Luckily, Europa was transiting at approx the same speed that Jupiter appears to rotate at. This means that the de-rotate helped the moon as well as the planet surface. That was not the case with Io which moves much faster than rotation speed.

No, just experience, but the effect is shown in Winjupos quite well.
