Have finally had a clear day with some clear time and got out and used my new solar filter.

Is my first ever solar image, so am rather happy with it.

Taken from 100 sec avi captured with Firecapture and stacked with AS!2 then adjusted levels and curves in PS.  Camera used was my guidecam too..... a QHY5L-II OSC

Was rather happy to see the nice big sun spot going on.....bet it looks amazing in Ha.

Anyway..enough excited waffle...here is the pic

Congrats on your first pic... Looks tops.... The gradual fade to black on the rim gives it the look of a gas ball... Which ofcourse is exactly what the sun is... A super hot ball of gas.
