Surface from 21st

Finally had time to process some shots from the 21st. This is with ST80 and Quark chromo so happy with how my ex guide scope ST80 is performing. Cloud and rain here so may get a chance to catch up with the captures I have.

Nice. Quark / ST80 Combo seems to be quite popular and work pretty well. Have you upgraded the focuser?

David, focuser is standard but I have taken it apart, removed the Skywatcher "tar" and put it back together with proper grease and adjusted everything so that it has a nice smooth action.

That's nice. I was wondering only yesterday whether an ST80 would be ok with a Quark. It's an excellent option for a non refractor owner to start in Solar.

Dave, I'm very happy with the results from the ST80 so unless people happen to have an existing scope, I would say that for ~£90 the ST80 is a very good option or the ST102 which also gives excellent results in the hands of Brian (Smerral)
