Virgo Cluster - 350D - 27-03-08

Poor conditions but I have been trying to image this region for 2 weeks so I gave it a go anyway.

130mm APO , F4.8 , Canon 350D at 800 ISO , 15 X 3mins.

Did not spend much time processing as seeing tonight was not good. Will try again when conditions improve - when ever that may be.

Map from Guide 8 below image. Added map with an image scale closer to photo.

Added second image - slightly larger and also trying to make the galaxies clearer.

Thanks everyone. Working at F4.8 means that the sky background lightens very quickly - that's why I could only get 3min subs ( also last night there was a great deal of high cloud/haze etc)

If I have another go at F6 this might give more detail and enable longer subs. I would of course loose some of the FOV.
