Ganymede & Io ( Just missed occultation )

My first attempt at trying to capture the occultation of Ganymede & Io ,stupidly stopped imaging as I thought I had already missed the event BUT turns out the shadow of Ganymede crossing Io was just 4mins later...!!!

Anyway here are my efforts , I ran 60 sec avi's but I think I have slightly over exposed them ?

Great effort Mike! Shame you missed the shadow. I had no idea this event was taking place...not that it would have made any difference given the permanent cloud cover lol

Lovely catch Mike - fascinating to see this interaction! I`m with Stuart on this one - re didn`t know it was occurring and the small matter of permanent cloud cover scuppering any chance of observing it if I had!

Excellent shots Mike and although I got the full sequence, yours has much better resolution!

I will crop mine and do a little animation, when it clouds over!
