Great build and thread Mike and nice size too. Sure you can't fit another pier in there for dual independent operation (father and son!)?

Lol would love to but i don't think my better half would be best pleased if i disappear every night leaving her to bath and bed my boys and waking everyone up when i get home hehe. Will just have to save up myself for a better setup than my celestron 5se.

Hey guys and girls, just a quick update. Over the past week ive been quite busy, i managed to get all the 1st fix electrics done and the majority of the cladding. We went with the colonial blue forstex cladding with wood grain and ive gotta say i love the colour.

My brother is finishing the insulation in the warm room and plastering it by Wednesday so should be busy second fixing the warm room at least.

Here's a few pics of the cladding.

The shingles were from wickes, nowhere else had these ones in stock. Did the job nicely :-)

Oooh - I  like those shingles for the roof - Can I ask where you got them from ?

Very nice build that you have there.

Very nice built! Great inspiration :)

How is the interior coming along?

The interior is coming on ok. We've first fix wired the lights and sockets aswell as putting new armoured cable with network cable and cables for the cctv and coxial for the tv so my mum can watch rubbish while my dad star gazes lol.

We've also plaster boarded the warm room and thats getting plastered tonight. Once thats done i can get it painted and fit thr sockets and switches.

Also just received a industrial 10 port usb hub for the pier. Will post some pics soon.

Thanks for the compliments guys its been a learning curve lol

Just a quick update, the warm room has been plastered and the walls painted, we've still got the ceiling to paint but that won't take long.

I've also second fixed the warm room and the pier as well as wired the new sub hub.

Wow thank you so much, It's been a long one lol.

Such an awesome build. All the mod cons and conveniences to ensure that every clear spell is taken advantage of. Absolutely fantastic, really inspiring.

Today I ply Lind some of the walls and finished the sockets finally lol, I also put two of the lights on the walls and one more left to fit.

We're also looking at some rubber matting for the scope room that's 15mm thick just in case of any dropped eye pieces.

The last job this week was to get the cctv installed and up and running which is all wired to the living room.

It's looking better now and can start to see the light at the end of the scope lol.
