Nicely done John, i'd love to image from La Palma some day.

Heres my version from last year also using the EF200L and Astrotrac:

Nice one...taking astro kit on holiday is my thing and will be doing it again shortly...hopefully the weather improves.

Were you above the clouds with these (i.e. at the observatories) or just at a normal resort?

Envy....

I can't even *see* the Lagoon and Triffid from my garden. Well, I could "If it wasn't for the houses in between"...

The Lagoon & Triffid are visible from the UK- if you have dark southern horizon.

I have photographed them from Mid Wales- bit of a horizon skimmer from here though.......

Where are you in la palma I'm at the hacienda san jorge in Brene baja we have had cloudy sky's here past couple of nights. Went upto the telescopes on Monday day a bit high for my liking got some good views from there
