My Astro Society are involved in the one at Waddeston Manor.  We're doing the stargazing, not the food.

I doubt that these sites will be really dark, they won't want people tripping over things.  Hopefully a bit darker than Stargazing Live though.

Hope for clear skies.

My astro society did the one at Birling Gap. Not bad as dark sky sites go in the UK but the scopes were set up just outside their cafe which made sense in that we gad dry ground to stand on, our wet weather plan was to move everything just a few metres and the public weren't traipsing long distances in the dark. Yes there was an immediate problem from the lights next to us but it was probably worth putting up with that in exchange for the advantages.
