This is a video the Sloan Sky Survey have made, they have mapped  well over a million galaxies so far and created a 3-dimensional map. mind boggling when you think of the vastness.

Wow - am feeling pretty insignificant right now.

Am on the lookout for a 3D map of our universe as an app - the only thing coming close to it is an app for all currently known planets (exoplanet) - but it doesn't map Messier objects or other DSO's...

you'd have to be traveling at 6.2million times the speed of light to make that journey to the edge in 3.28 the video takes..... That'd be one hell of vehicle, imaging the seat belt!!!!!
