ASI120MC First Light 22.11.13 Jupiter

I used my ASI120MC for the first time, I am gonna have to take my time getting used to it and getting comfortable with it. I think I can do better eventually, but it's a start at least. The atmosphere was quite humid, the seeing wasn't great and there was wind playing havoc with the OTA. Anyway both pics captured in sharpcap with ASI120MC on 2x TV powermate on 200P and NEQ6 pro. Best 95% of 1500 frames Stacked in Registax 5.1

Nice job - well processed

I too have just used this camera for the first time - I'm really impressed with it

I think my gain wasn't high enough - although I used to run it at 0 with the Celestron NexImage

Lots to learn - and I need to revisit the Registax tutorial again too :-)

Again - well done

David

Thanks guys :)

James I totally agree with you on the difference between this and the SPC900! In fact I was out with the ASI120MC last night with the new moonlite focuser and DC motor and I tried lots if different settings to see what I could get a didn't really get anything to write home about at first glance. I will process them and see what I get.
