Polar Alignment

Hey, I have a alt/az goto synscan. When outside I can align it just fine using either brightest or 2 star method. I am just wondering, at home I have a west facing balcony, am I able to align with two stars that are both in the west? I would go and give it a go...clouds...

Is this possible?

Should be fine Skipper - just make sure the two stars are as far apart as possible.
