Hello from Dunstable

Hello all, I have just got my first scope (a little prezzie from me to me lol) a celestron nextar 130 slt.. Am yet to use it due to the dank british weather....

Do you think this is a good scope to start me off?

I've seen some pretty good sights through a 4.5 inch reflector and yours is bigger so yes, I think it'll be a good scope to start with!

Yep, that scope will show you some fine sights indeed! Just up the road from you in Bedford, so if you get stuck at all, be glad to pop down the road.

I'm in the opposite direction in Berkhamsted. At the end of the day, a 'scope is a 'scope, and if it means you get to learn the skies and understand more about where you want to take the hobby then it's done its job.

Maybe we should meet in the new year anyway when the skies a clearer and darker (the more friends and advice the better) that's the way i look at it anyway... And your skies are probably better in Bedford than mine down here!!
