Well I am just getting back into the hobby again after about 35 yrs, I have been for the last 3 weeks looking at the sky with binoculars, then 2 nights ago persuaded the wife tolet me get a telescope, she bought me one for my birthday bless her so now I am all fired up to learn and spend many hopefully delightful hours after dark in the back yard. This looks to be a great site for info and to chat with people so hopefully we can get together and you can all teach me lol. i'll have to spend some time later and fill in my Bio.

Hi there Neil and welcome to SGL.

While I can't speak from experience, welcome to the world of having to convince your wife quite often that 'no darling, Iv always had that eyepiece and I know the internet says it costs £200 but I got it for a bargain, honest!'
