Hello all,

I've been active in amateur astronomy for two-thirds of my life. Unfortunately, with record rainfall in my area this year I've been doing more taking than observing.

My primary interests are deep sky and destination astronomy. In the past couple of years I've made the pilgrimage both west Texas and Death Valley. I've found that great sky goes farther than great gear.

Tried my hand at astrophotography once, but found that I lacked the patience. So, you won't find me on those forums ;-)

I can't wait to learn and share
