Hi Folks.

I live in the town of Tetbury in Gloucestershire with my family. I am an absolute newbie at astronomy having just started dabbling in the hobby. I have an encyclopedia of the planets and a set of binoculars. If I really do start to enjoy the hobby then I would like to invest in a decent telescope. However I must start on the basics first.

I'm not sure where to start or what I should be looking at to be honest but it'll be fun finding out!

Anyway that's a little about me, it's great to be part of the forum and I look forward to learning from you all!!

I would get a star atlas as this will help yopu look at star clusters that are ideal for viewing in binoculars.
