A sense of perspective.

I saw this online today and thought I would post a link.

It really helps to get your head around the huge distances involved in our solar system and makes it all seem a lot more real in an everyday perspective.

I was more worried by the prospect of Jupiter hoovering up Earth in its gravitational field.

Very true and I notice that astronomers refer to Andromeda as being in our "local" group of Galaxies. I can only assume that use of the term contains some irony. As to perspective most peoples view is, me, and everything else

sorry but I don't agree,if the planets were that close we would simply turn our scopes around and try to make the planets as small as possible

Alternatively, we would try to image finer detail than even the Cassini probe managed
