My DIY Obs refurbishment

Hi all,

Some of you might recall my posting of a couple of years ago, regarding my conversion of our unloved and unused childrens playhouse into an observatory. Well it's performed really well, but today I realised it was looking a bit shabby, and the colour scheme never did look right for an obs. So I did a makeover, and here's the result. Much neater.

This morning:

And the beauty parade. In the obs: 250PDS Newtonian on NEQ6 pier. In front, from l to r: 200P Newtonian, 90mm Mak, ST80, TAL100RS PST mod.

It's amazing what a couple hours can do to polish something like that up. Your equipment suddenly feels like it gets to ride in the hottest looking obsy on the block.

Cunning. Disguise your obsy as a kids play house with a leaky roof, no burglar would look in there!

Nope. This is Norfolk. No burglars round here. Famous last words.
