Saturn and moons

Recommended Posts

Hi folks:

Had a go last night (around midnight) at imaging some moons. Used the 9.25sct and DBK21. The sky was quite clear but a fair bit of turbulence. I couldn't use the prime focus Saturn as it was quite blurry, so I 'cheated' and used one from a previous session.

Cheers

Roger

Thank you for your kind comments. I'm hoping to experiment a bit more with the moons. I do have a reducer/corrector. Will this (besides giving a larger field of view) make my 9.25sct faster so that possibly more moons closer to Saturn could be captured without blowing them out?

Thanks

Cheers

Nice work. Yes, the reducer will make the scope faster but for the same length exposure, the existing moons will get brighter as well as hopefully pick up some new moons. It will be a balancing act to get everything right.
