Hello from Bedfordshire

Returning to astronomy after 20 years.

trying to get my head around a new purchase of a celestron C6-N on an advanced VX mount.

need more clear sky and any suggestions of dark skies areas in bedfordshire appreciated.

Morning Wizard, I'm just over the border from you in Cambs. I also have the slightly larger Celestron C10-N which I've found to be a most excellent scope. So feel free to fire away, even if I'm not around the guys and gals around here are pretty quick to answer and almost certainly more competent than myself :smiley:

So managed to sneak out under the wife's radar. Some cloud, and realised that I need to know long/lat and forgot to take my GPS.

but got a great look at Jupiter and 4 moons with 25mm excel EP.

well chuffed and learnt loads.
