Hello from sunny Devon

I'm sort of new to this. I've actually been watching the sky with binoculars and a spotting scope for many years, and even taken the odd photograph through the eyepiece with a digital compact. I decided it was time to get serious about this, and ditch the warmth and comfort of the astronomy program on my Mac, and get out in the cold and do it for real.

Attended an Introduction to Imaging day at NLO yesterday. Had a great time, and met some wonderful and encouraging people. In the course of the day this forum was recommended. And here I am and here is one of my snaps.

Welcome to SGL

Sunny Devon? Clearly the weather is better over the border then. It's been grey for a few days here, with prospects of more more greyness interspersed with the occasional pale black to come :(
