Back yard M1 with "Dobzilla" & 350D

Here goes my last attemp at M1, this was captured under a lousy sky with a lot of smoke from the surrounding chimneys, but prety pleased with the result

This was captured with a 12" GSO newtonian (solid dob tube) riding my EQ6, Canon 350D modded and self peltier cooled, Badder MPCC, Badder moon & sky glow filter,stack of 17x3 min. @ 400 ISO

I should give this one a real try under a good sky...but nothing but rain around here...grrrrrrr

..and so you should be - I think that's great - especially given that it was taken with an SLR.

Also - thanks Luis for letting us know that it's raining in Portugal - it's made me feel a lot better!

Agreed about the rain! Although it's not actually raining ATM it is cloudy. And the last couple of nights between cloud when you could see some stars the visibility was dreadful.

As for the image - very good indeed for such a small object with a DSLR

Thats a great image of the crab I really like the image scale and detail! How did you find the 12" dob tube with the EQ6 it must be pretty close to its limit!
