Martin-Devon
Very nice image - it's nice to see M42 with all of the "gassy" areas left intact rather than edited out in Photoshop
Shibby
Very nice! You've done a fantastic job combining the 2 sets of subs, maintaining the detail perfectly across the brightness range. I think it just needs a slight increase in contrast, personally.

I'm surprised I haven't heard jokes about Orion "passing gas".

Gina
Very nice Pity the added contrast makes the diffraction spikes so big.

Coco
These are superb .. whats caused the double defraction spikes?
Uplooker
very nice capture. I too, like Coco, would be very interested to know what caused the diffraction spikes to flare / fan out. I do not mean elongate, they are just not precise.Ian

ultranova
Thanks every one for the kind words, To be honest I am not to sure what's causing the strange diffraction spikes, the only thing I could think of is the secondary supports are not 100% square to the tube/ or slightly twisted at a guess anyway.Perhaps a more experienced newt owner might know more.
