Baader Steeltrack Price Increases ?

ok whats going on, still saving up for one of these

but noticed price gone up on few uk sites, flo, harrisons have put price up

MA still have it close to orig price tho

was this mentioned anywhere or any reason for increase is it suppliers or retailers ?

Several manufacturers are increasing prices at the moment and have been since the start of the year I'm afraid. So far:

Televue

Skywatcher

Celestron

Baader

possibly some others too.

It probably go to get worst. With what's going on in Europe at the moment, the euro might fall and that will drag the pounds with it. It will make buying stuff from the far east more expensive and that cost will eventually be pass down to the consumer.

If you have money now, you should buy it. The price is likely to go up rather than down.

That's an interesting thought - thank you I have had experience of humming and haaing and either missing something altogether or the price has gone up. Food for thought

surely it's more to do with (mainly Chinese) manufacturers being required to increase wages for their staff to a relatively reasonable level and thus being obliged to pass on to the end product prices?

Probably also to do with increasing costs of some raw materials, postage through higher fuel costs etc.

Baader raised their prices several weeks ago. This is the time of year for price increases. May, June & July are the quiet months. It is the same every year.
