tonight spent 2 hours looking at the sky seen Jupiter and the moons also the bands around it but the 10x ep is not good at all with the barlow.

Thought i was looking at Orion nebular but when i came in and looked on stellarium it looked totally different so need more practice.

Hi Hoot and welcome to SGL. The SW 10mm isn't a great eyepiece, although the 25mm is quite good (do you get the 25mm with the 200P?) Anyway, it's worth considering an upgrade as your next purchase, maybe a BST or a TMB II, both nice for planetary viewing :icon_salut:

Hi welcome to the forum.

BTW don't expect to see DSOs like the Orion Nebula the way Stellarium shows them, these are the result of many hours exposure on CCD cameras and then skilful and time consuming photo processing. Most nebula and galaxies will show as faint smudges with the brighter examples having a hint of colour from dark sky sites.
