Well it's out of the box!

Hi all

I'm new to stargazing but keen as mustard! I have been going along to the local astronomy club, Santa bought me a Skywatcher Explorer 130P for Christmas and Amazon kindly gave me the Haynes Manual for Astronomy (in exchange for money) so I'm good to go.

I've aligned the finderscope, set up the Goto mount with all the right co-ordinates and charged enough batteries to power most of Devon but the sky has not yielded. Hmph. I understand this is to be expected when purchasing a new telescope?

Well I have enjoyed learning from you all while I have waited or the sky to clear and I'm sure I'll be back with some idiotic questions when I finally do get to use it.
