My first Scope Moon.

This is my first telescope/camera shot of last nights Moon.

A tenth of a second at prime focus of my 6" f8 frac ISO 100. Olympus E-500 DSLR

Tweaked a bit in PSCS2, but I confess it was not a structured tweak, I just fiddled a bit, basically because I didn't know what I was doing.

Anyway, it's a start, and with the help of SGL, I hope to get better at the job :police:

:shock:You're a ringer aren't you Ron! 1st image my rear end. The image is a give away, you've been at this for years. Probably Damian Peach's best mate.

By way of contrast this is what a 1st image of the moon should look like http://stargazerslounge.com/index.php?topic=2334.msg24140#msg24140

Now go away and practice out of focus burnt out craters.

:police: Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I have to learn a whole lot of stuff yet, especially in the processing area of digi imaging, but it does not feel so daunting now that SGL back up is readilly available..

Thanks again. Ron. :D
