Hi,

My name is Barry I live in North Norfolk and I am a newcomer to the hobby.

I have been watching Jupiter and her moons lately with my 10x50 binoculars but can't find the Andromeda galaxy. Can anyone direct me from Jupiter to Andromeda as my knowledge of the night sky is very basic,

Hi Barry.

Welcome to SGL.

Have you downloaded Stellarium onto your computer? It's a free download which will show you around the night sky and I used it to find Andromeda for the first time. Just make sure you put in a location near you! I think the default is Paris.

I bet you have nice dark skies there in Norfolk ... I am not really jealous ... well maybe a little!
