I thought he was using Monty Pythonese (in the "Your father was a hamster and your mother smelled of elderberries!!" or "What is the average airspeed of an unladen swallow" kind) or Douglass Adamsese (as in "the other Sheltenack's jupleberry bush is always the more mauvy shade of pinky russet"). I thought that was OK
