Hi all, I have just joined SGL following a few years break from astronomy (boy has it changed)!

I have my old trusty Celestron C8 (27yrs old), a Meade ETX105 and a Meade LX90 12". Like the new goto systems but also enjoy the fun/achievement of star hopping using my C8.

Went to the Sailsbury star party on the Sunday night, had a clear evening, althought it was a bit windy!

Welcome to SGL, how much does that 12"LX 90 weigh?? I have enough trouble lugging My 10" LX200 onto the tripod at over 70lbs!

The LX9012" scope, Meade give as weighing 60 pounds, I can manage it on my own provided I do not try to set the tripod to high.
