  1. Hi I am looking for a good condition Atik 460ex Colour (OSC) Thanks for reading Regards Cyg
  2. Hi All I am currently using a Canon 1100d un-modified, and would like to upgrade to a newer and suitable astro imaging, Canon DSLR. I have looked through the sales sites and have found that Canon's (100d or 700d) and be supplied already modified, however I have also found a Canon 60da which is available for a slightly higher price. Which is likely to be the best Canon DSLR for astro imaging, (a modified (Baader) Canon 100d/700d camera or the Canon un-modified stock 60da camera)? Regards John
  3. Hi Dave & Ron, look forward to meeting you next week, thanks for the heads up about the windbreak.
  4. Hi all Not seen much mention of next weeks Isle Of Wight Star Party, 22-26 March. I know the dates clash with SGL7 but are any of you going to the IOW?
  5. Hi I will be there, should be from the Thursday to the Monday (pitch 158). Hope to meet you then. Regards John
  6. Hi all I am looking at buying a Dobsonian and I am currently thinking that the Orion SkyQuest XX14i IntelliScope Truss meets my needs. Mainly limited to single person operation and restriction on size for transportation access. Has anyone had any experience of the SkyQuest's (good or bad)? Regards
  7. I have had some past experience with Astrosystems equipment and always found them to be of very good quality. I would recommend that you try to keep the scope if you can, id it does not currently need re-coating, what about a mirror wash/clean using the approved cleaning fluid (first light optics)?
  8. I agree with the other comments, wait for the scope to arrive then give it a few nights trail, after which I expect some accessories will go to the top of your wish list.
  9. Meade do a 32mm (Meade 5000 Series 32mm Super Plossl Eyepiece 2") that is about £90. Reasonable quality for low price, may be worth you having a look.
  10. Great first set of images, I will be trying imaging soon, if they are anything like yours then I will be very happy!
  11. Looking at the received answers I have thought of asking the same questions about starting out in imaging. Have downloaded the links and will now give it a try. Thanks all and especially Volusian for asking the question!
