Hello Everyone!

I'm Dan from Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Today got my first real telescope in the form of a Skywatcher Explorer 200 and the EQ5 mount from Astronomia in Dorking.

I had a toy one which i got in Argos about 10 years ago which was pretty much point and see, however the 200 looks a little more complicated

I have pretty much no idea about the correct setup and usage of this telescope so im hoping for a clear night soon so i can go play

Welcome to SGL, thats a fine setup you have now better than the one from argos :-)!.

There are lots of online tutorials for your mount just google or youtube!.

I would strongly suggest you don't wait for a good night to set up your scope. Do it in daylight and get your finder scope aligned, use a distant pylon, church spire or something similar.
