Afocal Jupiter - amazed!

Wow, Jupiter was so amazing last night! I got my best (by far) afocal picture of it with my Lumix and Sky-Watcher 250:

Thanks. I've got a thing to hold the camera to the eyepiece, and I just take a couple of seconds of video of Jupiter and then use Registax 5 to stack it. It's never come out this good though.

i also have a clamp that conects camera to scope but just cant get it right have tried holding camera as well but no luck .

I have a Lumix meself and am impressed what you have been able to do with this camera. I've attempted several times to get some decent images to no avail.

i have a fuji finepix f80 got a few pics of the sun and cold spots but can not get any thing at night ?

One for Sky at Night perhaps. I see your on the November Issue Coverdisc with your Noctilucent Clouds Image. Getting quite a regular. Well done.

Thanks for all the nice comments - it makes the picture look even better to me It was all down to the fantastic conditions of last night - I could see all this detail with my eyes too, and I even saw all the moons as little tiny discs, each with a slightly different size and colour!! It was that steady. I hope we get more of this.
